Community Engagement
To maximise local participation and social inclusion in the region, FCM have engaged with and have the support of GROW Gippsland and will work together with AGL and local groups to maximise the local benefits.
We proudly support the following charities and local sporting clubs: Ex-Students Cricket Club, GROW Gippsland, Centrals Cricket Club, Inverloch Konwak Football Netball Club, Gormandale Football Netball Club, Backpack Bed for Homeless, Lifeline Gippsland and the Flicker of Hope Foundation.
Local Suppliers
FCM is committed to supporting local Latrobe Valley and Gippsland businesses. Our network includes the following vendors:
Modern Slavery
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and all forms of discriminatory or exploitative behaviour and treatment, whether within our own business or that of those who supply us.
Foundation Civil and Mining is committed to upholding the human rights of its own workers, and also the workers that form part of its operations and supply chain.
The Foundation Civil and Mining (FCM) Supplier Code of Conduct (Code) sets out the minimum standards of ethical and responsible behaviour that FCM expects from its suppliers and business partners. It is based on International Labour Organization (ILO) standards, national legislative requirements and accepted best business practice.
This Code sets out fundamental requirements for our suppliers and business partners (including all authorised subcontractors and raw materials suppliers). The requirements of this Code MUST be satisfied if you supply goods and/or services to FCM.
Indigenous Procurement
FCM recognises the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners and of lands on which we work, and acknowledge those communities’ continuing connections to their lands, waters, and cultures. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging.
FCM aligns to AGL’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and vision for a unified and inclusive Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are respected and have equal voice, rights, and opportunities for prosperity.
We are proud to partner with and support Bunji Hire and taking not only ownership of the first Bunji vehicle in our fleet, but the first step in establishing and maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship with an indigenous owned business.
